We believe that worshiping God defines who we are and Whose we are. Sunday's 10:00 a.m. worship service is a mix of traditional music and liturgy and the sounds of today. Sermons are Bible-based, and scripture is always read. Music is presented in a blended style, offering anthems, hymn singing, and contemporary Christian songs, all serving to magnify and glorify God.
Following worship, there is a time to gather for fellowship and refreshments in Fellowship Hall. If you’re new, feel free to introduce yourself to the pastor who often greets people at the door. Sunday School classes for youth and adults are also available to participate in.
We are fortunate to have one of the Valley's most beautiful mechanical action pipe organs. The 29 Stop, 39 Rank ORGAN was built in 1991 by the Visser-Rowland organ shop of Houston, Texas, with additions and modifications made in 1995, 2004, and 2017.
More information about the organ can be found HERE.
Children are welcome and invited to stay with parents during worship. However, if they wish, there is a dedicated area right in our worship space where children can quietly color, do puzzles, and read. Most Sundays there is a "Time with Children" during the worship service.
If you would like to share your musical gifts to glorify God, and if you sing Mozart or Point of Grace, play the guitar, pipe organ, or trombone, you will be welcomed into the music ministry at First Church. Come and join us as we make a Joyful noise unto the Lord! Contact music@fpcmesa.org for more information.
