At Eastertime FPC participates in “One Great Hour of Sharing” (OGHS). This special offering supports three wonderful Presbyterian efforts:
Self-Development of People: to loosen the bonds of injustice
Presbyterian Hunger Program: to share bread with the hungry
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance: disaster relief around the globe, including COVID-19 Pandemic
Since we are worshiping virtually we are inviting the kids (or those kids at heart) to create their own fish bank this year. We have provided OGHS coloring pages and games below. You are encouraged to recycle a container and decorate with the provided coloring page(s). Please feel free to submit a picture of your OGHS Fish Bank creation and email to email@example.com. We will post the submissions on our website to vote on and announce the most creative design in the May newsletter. Depending upon submissions received we will most likely have three creative categories: Children, Youth and Adults. Please be generous as well as creative with your Fish Banks. Once we are worshiping in the sanctuary again, we will have a time for you to bring what you collected in your fish banks to church. Let the fun begin!
Growing as “disciples making disciples” takes many forms at FPC-Mesa. Child and adult Sunday School classes and midweek opportunities for children, youth, and adults mix with a strong small group ministry. In and through it all, we seek to be Building God’s Family.
We do this by partnering with families to promote a thirst for God, foster spiritual growth and work together to build God’s family. Our core values are: to be child-centered, to build relationships and to teach, creatively and prayerfully, in a fun and safe environment.
