On Februray 27, 2010about 50 FPCers joined with approximately 1,500 volunteers from Council Districts 1, 3, and 5 as part of a beautification project titled Top 2 Bottom. This was the biggest clean-up project in the history of Mesa and we were grateful to be apart of it.
Our job was to clean up about 1/2 mile of alley. We got most of it done, filling almost two large dumpsters with rock, tree branches, and an interesting assortment of trash. We had a lot of laughs, no one was seriously injured, and left the community there in much better shape than we found it!
Welcome to FPC Mesa—a busy downtown church with a heart for God’s Word, great music, God’s children, and hands-on mission. AND, welcome to our new web site! Please take a few minutes to explore and get a full picture of all that is going on as God's leading unfolds in our life together!
March 2010
Seems like it's always busy around here (ok, except maybe in July). But it's March and that means
the annual FPC Musical Theater (Joseph and the Amazing Technocolor Coat)
the start of a sermon series on Romans
the launch of I-HELP (homeless shelter program for single women--we're hosting once a month)
a presentation of DuBois' "Seven Last Words" (March 21, 9:30am)
